Our Creative Process and Methodology

PROJECT INTRODUCTION AND REVIEW

G4 Creative meets with the potential client to review their design needs and budget. After this initial meeting, a decision is made by both parties on whether to move forward based on budget, time frame and the overall project scope.

The project brief is where G4 gathers all the necessary information and client vision. This is where we decide the core elements, features and specifics to make this project a success. In order for G4 to present an accutate and fair proposal for both parties, the client must present all content, photos and sample items to be used in the web site or design project.

DRAW UP PROPOSAL

Once we've reviewed all the information from above we will draw up a proposal. Our proposal will contain the following key items:

  • Scope - Deliverables
  • Budget - Terms
  • Time line
  • Deliverables
  • Terms

CONCEPT REVIEW AND MOCKUPS

Once the proposal is accepted, signed and the retainer check provided, G4 will begin the conceptual process in which we will determine a foundation for the entire design project. A site map for websites and an architecture document for brochures will be created from the content provided by the client. In this stage we also decide the theme, color theory and over all feel for the project. This will be presented to the client in the concept review presentation. Once the general concept is approved we begin designing your new project. The mock-up stage is the first visual presentation of your project. This part of the approval process will determine the outcome of your project. Mock-up approval is critical. G4 cannot move on to the next stage without it.

PRODUCTION

Production is where the rubber meets the road. All approved ideas, concepts, content and mock-ups will be collected and implemented into final product. During the production phase G4 conducts a series of preliminary tests; we check for spelling errors and confirm that all specifications are met.

TESTING

Once the project is near completion we conduct an in depth test of functionality and accuracy. The client is also encouraged to test or review the project to make sure everything works as agreed upon. G4 then tests the technology side of each project to make sure the project meets its full potential.

CLIENT FINAL REVIEW

Once all testing is complete we encourage the client to review the project one more time to make sure any issues have been corrected. A final proof sheet will be provided for the client to sign and return to G4. Only then can the items be sent live to the web or to the printing press.

LAUNCH SITE OR SEND PROJECT TO PRESS

After final sign off, the project will be sent to its final state. For the web, we launch the web site to the specified server. Print materials are sent to the press or publication specified in the beginning stages.
